Ann Romney Cancels Interviews After Iowa 'Stop It' Meltdown

Ann Romney Cancels Interviews After Iowa 'Stop It' Meltdown

by eXtina

The wheels of the Romney campaign are flying off. The 'secret weapon' of the Romney campaign has apparently imploded. The plan to use Ann Romney 'sparingly' looks like it will be reduced to 'not at all' as this arrogant, entitled woman continues to show the Romneys' true colors.

Ann Romney took the opportunity in the Iowa interview to berate voters, Republicans, America, party loyalists and strategists, who don't seem to appreciate how lucky they all are that Mitt is in the race.

“Stop it. This is hard. You want to try it? Get in the ring. This is hard and, you know, it’s an important thing that we’re doing right now and it’s an important election and it is time for all Americans to realize how significant this election is and how lucky we are to have someone with Mitt’s qualifications and experience and know-how to be able to have the opportunity to run this country.”

The campaign seems to have gotten a clue and realized that Ann needs to step away from the microphone.

In Omaha for a closed to the press fundraiser for her husband Friday, Mrs. Romney was supposed to give interviews to several reporters but canceled due to the controversy over her blow up at Republicans on a radio interview, in which she ordered Mitt’s Republican critics to “stop it.”

Omaha.com reports:

Ann Romney, the wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, made an appearance Friday at an Omaha-area fundraiser for her husband.

She had scheduled interviews with The World-Herald and other reporters but canceled after controversy erupted this week over her comments to a public radio station in Iowa about her husband's Republican critics.

She appeared at the luncheon, $250-per-plate fundraiser at the Embassy Suites and La Vista Conference Center. The event was closed to reporters.

If I were working on that campaign I'd be on strong meds right about now. I truly don't think she and Mitt can help themselves...it just all spills out of their mouths. They are so used to putting down half of America with their own private set of friends, they don't know how bad they sound.

I don't know anything about MS, but this kind of pressure can not be good for Ann. And as for his sons, their lives get publicly sorted through, as well.

So, yes she's privileged and snotty and more, but I think Mitt pressured her to "help him out" and if for no other reason that that, he is unqualified has a human being/husband, let along a president. It can not turn out well for either of them.

Where's the compassion and the humanity of it?

First it was Romney insisting that his record as governor should be off the table. Then discussing his business record was out of bounds. Then asking about his taxes was unfair. Now his wife insists their own party stop criticizing and kiss their asses more.

Fuck these pampered morons.

She is always pointing sharply, aggressively with one finger, the way people in authority do when they are laying down the law in no uncertain terms.

Sometimes the finger poitns up, sometimes slightly down and to the side, sometimes more in the direction of the person(s) she is speakign to. But that sharp one-finger point, combined with that direct, annoyed gaze and those pursed lips, makes her seem very unpleasant andmore than a bit scary.

Even cartoonists have begun portraying her as "Queen Ann." I hope the nickname sticks and really goes viral, because it does seem to embody essential aspects of her attitutude toward "you people."

So when does Mitt step away from the microphone? He's the one doing the most damage when he's behind one.

To have heard the 47% remark from Marie Ayntoinette would be bad, but that would be nothing next to it coming out of the corporate raider's mouth.

Coming from someone who has it decidedly easier than 99.9 per cent of Americans, I would really like to know what is so hard.

STOP IT STOP IT!!! THIS IS FUCKIN' HARD!!

YOU PEOPLE...YOU PEOPLE...GET IN THE RING!

(I read all y'alls Ann Rmoney comments out loud to my family & they're still laughing...)(I even whinnied for Rafalca)

Oh & "Game Change" (fictional ar ar NOT story of the McCain/Palin campaign) won all or most awards they were nominated for.

Lastly, someone needs too tell Scott Pelley that calling out a lie or contradiction is a reporters responsibility!!! Especially on a show like 60 minutes. (Pelley even noted the news-magazine premiered in 1968) The exact date 9/24/68. This now legendary show had both candidates running for POTUS. That was 44 years ago. They were at least then the 1 group of ppl that if you saw them waiting in your office's reception area...YOU KNEW you were gonna have a bad day...a real bad day. What happened to facts? I know Mitt the Twit doesn't care but 60 minutes? Not so much anymore apparently. ROMBOT was allowed to use that non-existant "SUPER MAJORITY in the senate. Someone needs to remind folks in production @ CBS NEWS that their job is to tell the truth & if ANY politician running for office thinks they can come on 60 min & ignore the facts that the reporter will be prepared & able to call out the person who they know is lying (or they should know). If the candidate doesn't like the rules, they used to know not to go on unprepared without facts to back up their own rhetoric. If they don't want to be open to real questions then do not come on 60 min. That was then & this is now. Fuck standards, fuck truth, we need to be fair & balanced. When did CBS stop being the network of Mike & Walter? What happened? Sad as hell...sad as hell. The so called MSM never included the 60 min. I used to know...now it's like all the rest.

RATINGS DRIVEN CONTENT NOT NEWS JEEZ!

FUCK CONTENT...FACTS...HONOR!)

Sad as hell is all I can say. (super majority my ass...will say more when I stop seething & get all facts for my rebuttal in order)

GOOD NEWS: At DU facts DO matter! Thanks to all y'all! What would I do without you guys.

Even to the point that the audio person at the end had fun and played "Stop It" clip right in between TYT and Viewpoint with Eliot Spitzer show at the end. If you have a DVR recording watch it to that point. She KNOWS that now the media has another clip like they got from Mitt earlier with "Corporations are people, my friend!" and probably is having nightmares of how this clip or others she might utter will haunt her forever in the future!
