(21,815 posts)No sense in sending out an empty truck, or leaving mail on the dock.
Most holds were no more than ten or fifteen minutes.
Schedules are important, of course, because a delay in one office can affect the mail on down the line.
But there is some wriggle room built into the schedules.

(11,527 posts)Doesn't seem like common sense is tolerated in this administration.
Also, this kind of bullshit is so very insulting to employees. It kills motivation.

(4,986 posts)What, they couldnt clip art some Wingdings and smiling alarm clocks on it for good measure? I mean STOP, but dont STOP the trucks kinda muddles the message, amirite? And just had to add pictures of mail trucks, lest it was meant to do anything other than demoralize and demean postal workers as idiots deserving abuse.
It actually reads: Do not hold a truck - no more holding trucks... Is a screamed reiteration of a stupid idea that was printed to vinyl. Would make more sense in an ignorable pResidential tweet. And who got the contract to produce that shite? Ill bet ten dollars it was no-bid.
The font is in four colors and like seven different sizes, yall...

(6,832 posts)Their cost and contract. So it is wasting fuel but the money it costs is already in the contract. It may save the contractors overtime for drivers, but DeJoy's personal finances don't show any losses.

(10,267 posts)Should leave it to those who do. Not saying I know the details of this, but I kind of doubt whoever ordered the sign really knows either.

Of course its suspicious, she said. You start thinking, OK, something is going on, because no one has access to all those boxes and packages.
Glendale police said just before the bags of mail were discovered in the salons parking lot, they were called about several bags of mail tossed in an alley about half a mile from the spa. It was not immediately clear if the same truck was linked to both incidents.

(10,267 posts)There are a few mail carriers that have been caught doing this. Lazy, so just dump mail. I think its pretty rare but hope they figure out who did this.

(4,674 posts)a new employee in a bank job that was known internally for being a rough ride. Overworked, too much passed through that post and they had trouble keeping employees in it. The new hire was impressing everyone by always having a clean desk. Then things started to go wrong.
Turned out at the end of the day, whatever paperwork she had not processed or dealt with, she put in the trash. Voila!
I remember that story because it became a recurrent fantasy at the end of every work day
