http://www.constitutionfacts.com/?page=50QTest2.cfmI got 49 out of 50 because I didn't read all the answers on one question and it was all the above and I stopped after the first choice was correct.

would suspect that the reason the average score is 33.64 is because of Teahadist types ...

(52,166 posts)since I didn't have the question you missed. Also the average on mine was higher 33 instead of 25. You must really know your stuff since some of those questions were very hard.

(18,807 posts)And 35/50, but I'm Canadian and several of the questions were of the "historical trivia" type rather than "relevant to knowing the law" type, so I don't feel too bad about that.

(223 posts)The answer from the previous question carries over to the next question if you get it wrong...example
The question was:
Congress must meet at least once every
The next question was:
The bill of rights is. ( my options I list below did not make sense but they did make sense for the previous question)
A. The first 10 amendments
B. 2 years
C. 6 years
D. Year
I think my options for the bill of rights question were strange but were appropriate for the previous questions. What it seems to me is that there is a glitch with the software that is only apparent if you start missing.
Am I totally off base here something did not seem right.

Hmmm guess this website is faulty

(7,570 posts)Some of the answer options don't change between questions. I gave up after I missed three questions that I didn't see the correct option listed for.
Maybe if I try a different browser?

(894 posts)The ones I missed weren't aspects of the constitution, but history surrounding the constitution.

(30,058 posts)I know the president has to be 35 but was not a choice of 35. Or this could be faux poll, most all was incorrect answers.
Laurajr
(223 posts)I found the same and I answered the first 5 questions 4 different times and each time my choices were different depending how I answered the previous question....maybe we aren't as stupid as that test makes us out to be.

I'm absolutely terrible with dates so I figured I would miss those. A couple of them I just plain didn't know the answers to.

(138 posts)Not ashamed. According to the questions I saw, IMO the Senate and Supreme Court has way too much power and the President has way too little.

(23,156 posts)40 out of 50.
There were two or three I should not have missed.
None of my questions had weird choices, by the way. Considering I've never actually read the Constitution, and never really took a proper civics class, I did quite well.

I got a 28.
Honest. That's all I've got.
I got 40 out of 50 correct. And some folks consider me a history buff. Maybe I'm not.
But you can be sure I got the question about the Bill of Rights correct. As a member of the ACLU for almost 40 years I better not get that one wrong!

(114,904 posts)and frankly, I don't think it was so easy. I got 41 out of 50. Congrats on getting 50 (really cuz you "misread" one question)
If Americans actually got 25 out of 50 that wouldn't be bad at all. But c'mon- this is just based on those who took this online quiz, and now the average score is 33)

(41,209 posts)On the whole I was pretty knowledgeable about the aspects relating to national government, but not so much about state governments. Also, wasn't always sure of the exact dates of the history relating to the setting up of the Constitution.

(11,175 posts)One question I saw asked about succession to the Presidency if both the President and Vice President die/resign/etc. The correct answer, in a Constitution quiz, is that the Constitution doesn't answer that question. Article II, Section 1, Clause 6 merely empowers Congress to figure it out. Congress has passed the Presidential Succession Act, which is the source of the answer given as "correct" in the quiz, but that answer could be change without a Constitutional amendment.
Another question was incomplete about the amending process. The "correct" answer was the procedure that's been used for all but one amendment, but it omitted the alternative procedure provided for in the Constitution that was used to ratify the Twenty-first Amendment. I'm being coy about the details so as not to spoil the quiz for anyone who hasn't yet taken it. You can study up by reading the last paragraph of this section.
