He let himself be killed in a horrible way, as a sacrifice (if you subscribe to the beliefs of Christianity).
Just like our military sacrificing themselves for our country. Losers.

(2,166 posts)and he's a good Christian who has turned himself around. Which is why he chose Pence. I've heard that first hand from a few different people. They are really suckers.

(2,626 posts)yea, he'd definitely see him as a loser. Same old line, "Why would he sacrifice himself? What was in it for him?"

(24,396 posts)Jesus is a myth that never existed. And if he did exist, and if he did die and return from the dead after a mere 36 hours in the grave, he got off a lot easier than our soldiers whose deaths were quite real and permanent.

(2,166 posts)I believe there was one or more people who personified the message of Jesus (forgiveness and compassion), but I don't see the logic how his "blood washes away our sins". I've had a lot of discussions with evangelicals about this (they're very worried about my salvation). The only way I can see why this would become a belief is because ancient people sacrificed animals (and people), and this just went along those lines for them (so they would accept it and discontinue killing animals).
But this just further shows how Trump thinks (regarding the soldiers), and it must be the same way her regards Jesus.
