Why Trump hates mail-in ballots?

Because he cannot manipulate them and they make it easier for voters to cast their votes. Traditionally, Republicans have been easier to inspire to go to the polls.

Although he has attempted to slow down the Postal Service and the delivery of mail-in ballots, that alone does not stop the people from voting. They may not be counted on November 3rd, but they will be counted. And that scares the crap out of him, because he cannot control it.

He believes he can minimize the number of Democratic voters that vote in person, by fear tactics and intimidation. It doesn't work with the mail-in ballots although he is doing his damnedest to screw it up.

1. It screws up voter suppression techniques, voter ID, closing polling places etc.

2. And as my Governor Kate Brown said

"You can't hack a paper ballot."

At this point, I think he's throwing spaghetti at the wall, trying to get anything to stick.

3. He doesn't like anything that makes it easier to vote.

Simple as that. Without manipulation of some kind, ie closing polls, changing poll location at the last minute, stationing law enforcement at polls, he knows he can't win. No matter what he says about his 2016 "victory" he knows he did not win the popular vote and that makes him crazy scared.

4. Don't forget the all important paper trail...

There is a reason Repubs backed all of those electronic voting options, many without so much as a hard copy printout of the votes tallied.

Paper ballots all the way. That way, if you need an audit or a recount you can do it.
