If you asked 100 random people on the street, you'd find some military service within one remove or generation for nearly all of them. The Trumps have none, anywhere in their family tree. It's remarkable.

My father, four uncles, and one great-uncle in World War II, plus me during the Vietnam era. Also had cousins serve during Korea and Vietnam.

The reason the the Trump (Drumpt) family left Germany was because of ‘ refusal to serve in the millitary’.

When was the last time any of them served anywhere?

Grandpappy Whorehouse Trump got the boot from Bavaria for skiving off military service. Maybe his father served, given that GWT was apparently born in Bavaria, so his father had maybe done his compulsory duty and was still "legal" at the time? That guy's youth would have been mid 1800s or so.

The Trumps are not shy about proclaiming how much they have 'sacrificed'.

It's all part of a pattern of condemning military service in the most extreme way.
