Rep. Cedric Richmond, who serves as co-chairman of Joe Biden's presidential campaign, took President Donald Trump to task on Sunday over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, race relations and a faltering economy.
This is Trump's America. He has to own this moment, Richmond (D-La.) said in an interview on NBCs Meet the Press. He has to own the incompetence around coronavirus and 180,000 American deaths, almost 6 million infections, almost 38 million jobless claims. He has to own it. This is his America.
Richmond chided Trumps handling of the economy and called on Democrats to hone in on that and remind voters where the economy stood four years ago as the 2020 campaign enters its homestretch
The one thing Trump does very well is say the same thing over and over again. Most of the time it's a lie, but he says it over and over again and people start to believe it, the Louisiana Democrat said. "We have to continue to say over and over again that this president has destroyed and wrecked this economy just like everything he has ever touched in his life.

(10,854 posts)Repeat the lie often enough and people tend to believe it. Also know as propaganda 101.
The Biden team needs to continue to counter with the truth and the reality on the ground. There's widespread economic pain a-coming; the painful reality on the ground will be impossible to hide.
Keep pushing, all of us!

(3,741 posts)trump will never own anything. There is always someone or something else to blame.
And ~40% of the sheeple will never hold him accountable for anything. The Access Hollywood tape was a twisted sneak preview of that phenomenon.
