http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/washington-whispers/2012/09/21/mitt-romney-calls-usa-a-foreign-country-in-his-tax-returnsMaybe Mitt Romney thinks he lives in Switzerland?
When the former Massachusetts governor released his official 2011 tax return Friday, he (or whoever actually filled out the form) appeared to have mistakenly referred to the United States as a foreign country.
"If you have a foreign address," the tax return instruction reads, "also complete spaces below." In the space below, under "foreign country name," Romney's form reads "USA."
Several tax preparers confirmed to Whispers that "USA" should not have been written in that lineassuming the Republican presidential nominee is actually a citizen of the United States.

(552 posts)to have others pick it up and run with it for a week, so that the independents pay attention. Then the President can swoop in. I am sure they noticed.

(18,928 posts)but this is no big deal. "Several tax preparers"? From H&R Block?
His return was no doubt done by a computer program. The computer program printed it.
It won't get it thrown out of the IRS computer programs.
We look silly getting all worked up over this non-starter.

(41 posts)Thanks for 2011.
(Mr. Romney may well confuse in which country he resides, so much of his money is located in foreign banks.)
Now release the tax returns that we *really* want to see, 2005-2009.
The longer you delay, Mr. Romney, the more suspicious it appears.
Obama released 12 years of tax returns
GW Bush 10 years
Clinton 12 years
GHW Bush 14 years
George Romney 12 years.
What is the problem, Mr. Romney? Is there something to hide???
Release your tax returns.
