Blake was fishing around his car for a knife in order to attack 3 armed police officers.

police shooting I have seen recorded in the past 20+ years, they ALWAYS empty their clip. They seem to be trained that way. I think back to the incident in CA where they were searching for some rogue cop and they shot over 100 times into the pickup truck of a mother and daughter who were out delivering newspapers early in the morning. Somehow these "well trained" genius cops weren't able to hit either of them, thank goodness! They don't seem to be equipped to use judgement in any circumstance.

Policing in this nation needs to be completely overhauled. It's just garbage at this point.

7 rounds. The thing of it is a person all pumped up with adrenaline could fire 7 times and not even realize it. I have a 40 cal pistol that holds 17 rounds you can empty it is probably 2 or 3 seconds. Glocks and other semi-autos used by the police don't even have a safety you just pull the trigger. The cops think they can shoot first then either plant a weapon or just claim they felt threatened and get away 99% of the time.

Might be a cop with probably little to no experience nor training. Probably put in enough hours riding with trained police to be sent on his own with a bike and a loaded gun (just in case). Hired because he wasn't overly brilliant, but seemed like a nice enough guy that would stay with the job for several years so they wouldn't need to look for someone else for a while. The cop is responsible and so is the department that hired and assigned him.

Just my opinion. We need LE reform NOW.

At least that's what I heard initially. A 3, 5, & 8 yr old, IN THE CAR! I never heard it mentioned again, though, but can't get that monstrous image out of my mind.

Deadly force isn't on a sliding scale. It's either justified or not, and if it is, it doesnt matter if 1 round is fired or 20. Therefore all contemporary firearms training, be it law enforcement, civilian, or military is you shoot to stop the threat. That may take 1 round, that may take 15. Bullets are deadly, but human body can be fairly resilient. It's not super common, but it isnt exactly rare that someone can still fight though getting hit multiple times with a handgun. Therefore most police will typically fire until the person drops.
