Donald Trump four years ago:
“The crime and violence that today afflicts our nation will soon come to an end. Beginning on January 20th, 2017, safety will be restored.”
More:
“The most basic duty of government is to defend the lives of its citizens. Any government that fails to do so is a government unworthy to lead.”
That’s what Trump said 4 years ago. 180,000 Americans died in a pandemic he failed to take seriously.
Compare his 2016 promise to what he’s saying today. These are the words of a con man.
