Vive la difference. If I were on the Obama team I would put together a shameless ad with no voice over and no printed word until the end, showing only POTUS and FLOTUS interacting with kids. It would feature a great musical soundtrack and end with a simple "VOTE as if your children's future depends on it."

Just about everybody likes looking at cute babies. So it would grab eyeballs during an election season in which people in swing states are SICK of campaign commercials.

It would demonstrate absolutely unmistakeably how Barack and Michelle are so much warmer and more appealing and human than Mitt and Ann.

I'm not sure about the wordlessness, though--I think there's probably a lot to say about what the difference between an Obama presidency and a Romney presidency would mean to future generations of not-the-1% kids.

But yes, a commercial with babies would be HUGELY successful. Great idea!

I'm so thrilled to be pregnant during election season! I can't wait to show up at the voting booths all huge and smile my way past the conservatives hanging outside with my XL Obama t-shirt stretching over mah belly! All that and my baby is taking part in it's first vote ever! If you send a birth announcement to the white house as soon as your baby is born, the White house (THE Obama's) will send a congratulatory letter back!!!

If I recall, in a media moment POTUS took a crying baby from FLOTUS to demonstrate he was the "baby whisperer". I'm proud of our current first family. They need not be perfect, that's the charm.

I can't imagine Mr. Romney in our White House. It would be my worst nightmare.
