I have Indian ancestry, Cherokee, as do many other Americans with that and other nations, if their families are traced back over several generations in this country.
The complete opposite of Brown's attitude, Indian nations were INCLUSIVE, which is why many of them include all the bloodlines that make up the American experience, brown, black and white faces abound, not just red... And it's not that cartoonish vision of red people that he most certainly has dancing in that pretty, but quite empty, head of his.
I'm sure that he's wondering where the Indian people went, since he most certainly hasn't seen anyone walking around in feathers and moccasins in any of his usual haunts.
Well, had he listened to Elizabeth Warren, instead of disrespected her, he would realize that we haven't gone anywhere...
We ARE America.

Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts put challenger Elizabeth Warren on the rack early during their debate Thursday night, assailing the Democrat for listing herself as "Native American" on law school documents early in her teaching career.
"Elizabeth Warren said she was a Native American, a person of color," Brown said, gesturing toward Warren. "As you can see, she's not."
It didn't sound any more acceptable that it came from a smarmy, condescending douchebag either.

(41,993 posts)My son is a brown haired blue-eyed registered member of the Cowachin band in Vancouver BC. He's chosen to more or less ignore his heritage-- he's around half. But that doesn't give anyone the right to disrespect his ethnic background, if he reveals it.
I don't blame you for being pissed.

He's a sorry sob in my eyes. He came out running his mouth about that from the get go. I hope she beats his ass and but good.

But as far as I'm concerned, if her parents told her that she has it, it's good enough for me.
