LINCOLN — A disgruntled job seeker is in jail on felony charges after allegedly threatening to “slaughter” a state Department of Labor worker in Lincoln.
Jordan Wackerla, 26, of Lincoln, was arrested Thursday after sending a threatening and obscenity-laced email to a state workforce development worker complaining that he had been wrongly labeling as a “job hopper.”
“I'll slaughter you like a ... cow,” the Sept. 17 email stated, according to court records. The email also included pictures of dismembered and mutilated female bodies.
“Disturbing” and “gruesome” is how the photos were described by Major Mark Funkhouser, who heads the investigative services division of the Nebraska State Patrol.
