Police union that backed Trump in 2016 won't endorse this year

Cleveland's police union will not issue a presidential endorsement this year after backing President Trump in the 2016 cycle.

The Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association (CPPA) decided not back either Trump or former Vice President Joe Biden, or candidates in future presidential or mayoral elections following a vote by its board of directors and a group of 30 officers, according to Cleveland.com.

The CPPA's 2016 endorsement of Trump marked the union's first ever presidential endorsement, sparking divisions within the group and ultimately costing former CPPA president Steve Loomis his job.

It appears that when they did endorse BunkerBoy the last round it was the first time they had ever endorsed ANYONE.
Seems to me that they are going back to a more "neutral" position by opting not to do any endorsements.

This might not be very popular here, or anywhere, but it's my personal belief that everyone that voted for the fascist should have their right to vote stripped away.

When we take this country back, voting records should be examined, legislation crafted and everyone that cast a ballot for Trump in the last election and this one should be punished. Voting rethuglican should be a criminal act.

This is Democratic Underground, not Communist Underground. Good luck punishing 46% of voters without Civil War 2.

We need to eliminate their ability to put another fascist in office. How could that possibly be something we wouldn't want???

How would you like it if your ability to vote was eliminated based on past statements or votes? Ah, see the slippery slope? It opens up a can of worms.

If our Party did that 50% would immediately join the other side.

So would the guilty go to prison or maybe just spend a few years somewhere being re-educated?
