Tara Reade, who accused Joe Biden of sexual assault, had expressed interest in speaking at either the Democratic or Republican convention. Per Fox News:

Reade said her offer to speak at the GOP convention next week is “absolutely” on the table, saying she would be “more than happy to do so.”

“I think survivors need a voice and I would be humbled and honored to help raise and lift that voice if that’s possible,” Reade added.

Also, Lara Trump has said “why not?” to this, so it’s happening and I fear might be just enough to throw the election to Trump. Confected allegations are going to be a real issue for any male Democratic politician going forward - the right don’t care, and the priority pack will believe the allegations regardless of their source.

The comparison to Trump accusers is not meaningful. Everyone understands Trump as a lowlife. This would be hitting Biden at his strength. Obviously the charges are bullshit but if she comes across well and exaggerates for impact then all of a sudden it becomes a huge story and Biden is on the defensive. None of her prior descriptions or details mean anything compared to the fresh clip, which would be played relentlessly on new ads.

That's the handicapper version. Obviously it's not going to be popular but we'd be idiotic not to recognize the possibility of it playing out that way. They are desperate to shift focus to Biden. Nothing from Trump would be effective. It has to be third party.

We've got to hope she bombs or something is available to refute. I assume the DNC is prepared for this.

I have read what Tara Reade has had to say and the reporting from investigative newspapers.

The more you learn, the worse her "tale" gets. I believe Tara Reade is doing victims of sexual assault a disservice.

IF the Republicans are so DESPERATE (and hypocritical) to use her story, I do NOT believe people on the left, who have ALWAYS been the champions of women's rights, would be hypocritical to go on offense.

Tara Reade has a well researched history of being a cheat and a huckster. It would be ZERO surprise to me that Republicans would be rewarding her (directly / indirectly) for her false and ever-changing story.
