U.S. State continuing claims fell to 14.8 million. Estimate 15 million.

Initial jobless claims 136000 to 1.106 million

The take away, initial jobless claims are over a million

Will the republicans continue to screw working Americans by blocking the Stimulus, and will Americans wake up and realize that republicans and trump are NOT good for the economy

To put things into perspective, the high in the Great Recession was 665,000. Last week was 971,000.

Americans don't really understand these numbers at a deep level, they see the monthly report saying jobs were created, but don't understand that is just people getting called back to their jobs. There are no good "new" jobs being posted, none. And companies that made it through the initial shock are now laying off people, some for the first time.

You get laid off right now, you're in big trouble and are going to have a long time of waiting just to get an interview at a similar job to the one you lost.

This is the worst economy since the Great Depression and it's just the beginning of the downturn.
