Remember when Nixon resigned and President Ford said that "Our long national nightmare is over"

....alluding to the whole Watergate crisis that had consumed the country for two years. Well, if President Biden were to make such a comment in January, even if he were to say during his inauguration speech as Trump flies off to Mar-a-Largo, it would set the stage for our rebirth. Two nightmares from two Republican presidents who thought/think they were above the law. At that time it was said that the bipartisan Watergate Committee had saved the Republic. There were some heroes on that side of the aisle back then. Not so much now.

And blind to the sins of his party.

He let Nixon off, but (I think) eight others went into the slammer, one of them the former AG.

He pardoned nixon to save the republican party, setting them up for 45 more years of inflicting damage. If nixon had gone to prison, the nation and the world would have been a much better place. Ask yourself, "How many of nixon's goons showed up in future administrations?"
