(10,021 posts)crowds; not just old grumpy white people. And I'm an old white person, but not grumpy. I've always thought the young people should decide elections.

(2,646 posts)Love it when the diversity of our party is captured.
BTW do not sell yourself or your fellow elders short-you all have just as much to lose if Romney becomes president.

I agree. I remember posting to a teatard on a different forum and pointing out to him that most of those people were of retirement age and not "young" like him. he's in his 40s like me. It didn't go over well with him.

(31,856 posts)When I see President Obama or Vice President Biden - I just smile. Yeah - things aren't perfect in America - but when I look at these pictures - I know there are people like me. Smile - because those two?

(804 posts)There is a magic and confidence that is awesomeand I'm sure it shows outside of the U.S. as well. Go O!
BTW: JOE IS AWESOME! I didn't pay much attention to him before, but since the DNC, I've begun watching him and I think he's great. I'm sure they've been doing that on purpose (2016?), but none-the-less...he's cool!
I loved the video the Onion put out claiming Joe hitch-hiked to the DNC. It was great.
...what a team!

(3,145 posts)Positive, uplifting, and just plain fun! When he started speaking someone in the crowd called "I love you" and he called "I love you back"!
The crowd was just ecstatic from the get go - even the cops working the event were as mellow as could be - all the volunteers were lovely and helpful - and I am so glad I was able to go.
President Obama got the biggest cheers of approval to his remarks about women's reproductive freedom and gay marriage and gays in the military. Also about protecting Medicare and Social Security. It was very inspiring.

Now let's get the congress and senate behind this enthusiasm.

(11,607 posts)Thanks for sharing.
I hope he can over come the lack of voting machines in minority districts and the GOP owned voting machines. He needs a landslide just like last time.
From these pictures it seems he may get that.

(5,519 posts)I sat in the bleachers behind the "Forward!" sign... It was a great day and my pics are not as good as yours .
When the helicopter landed, it blew up all this dirt and because the helicopter was behing "our" seating, we had a bit of dirt rain down on us. I was the little pink blur on the end of the Forward sign
Enthusiasm was very high! And the bulk of the crowd was behind him. There were probable five or six times the people in the stands. It was an amazing day!
