(or recent and/or about to be ex-Republicans) who at least get the basics of being an American. Nowhere near enough of them relative to the Trumpers, it's true, but still some. In order to bury all that Trump represents we need a massive Blue landslide, not just a narrow victory, in November. And in order for that to occur we will need votes from people like Linda.

Remember the meme "Reagan Democrats"? We need "Biden Republicans" just as much to show that the majority in this country value democracy and what the United States stands for.

22. Question for GOPers, "Are you a trumpublican, or a (real) republican?"!?!

Too many repugs jumped on to 45's bandwagon happily. Some went reluctantly, and some never trumpers refused. For example, George Conway is a real republican, with a degree of integrity, and has tried to inform members of his party about how dangerous 45 is.

I don't like or trust repugs, and have to consciously and regularly tell myself they are not all evil, and I should not hate them in response to their hate. Always a battle for my spiritual self!

I figure a third (35%) are the worst you can get, proud members of cult 45.

And at this point the rest are up for grabs. Some will still support him out of misguided loyalty to the party. But many realize he doesn't really represent their party. There are so many things this administration has done to make them question their loyalty to 45 in relation to their loyalty to the USA. His support has dwindled with each outrageous, unlawful act. Kids in cages, support of put in, disregard of military, use of force against peaceful protesters, to name a few. Each has caused some repugs to question and decide that this is not acceptable behavior. And it's fired up the Democratic base and many independents to vote him out. Remember 2018!

So the Biden republicans (I like that one!) are the real ones, and there will be many.
I believe they will help us to unleash a blue tsunami.

But I agree it's up to us to get our base out to vote. We're poised to do that.
As with Obama/Biden, the Biden/Harris ticket will bring out hordes of inspired, angry, hopeful, patriotic Americans, including many younger voters, to the polls, willing to risk our lives, if necessary, to elect them and eject cult 45!

It’s pretty diverse around here and I hear all sorts of languages being spoken. I see people out mowing their lawns, kids playing. I was just thinking it’s not the language you speak or color of your skin that makes an American. It’s a lifestyle and shared values and the rethugs will do their best to make people afraid of anyone who looks different. That might work with the Lilly white gated communities but not the average American. I guess the caveat might be rural vs urban with a lot of rural folks hanging on to a white america but the rural population continues to shrink as a percentage. It’s not a large enough segment to sway the election.
