The story Donald told about niece Mary,

about how she had been a drug addict (untrue), reveals how he is likely thinking about current stimulus negotiations: that the deeper the hole, the more sweet the relief when it does come.

He is setting this up for him to be the sole rescuer, in the form of an EO, to come only after the desperate unemployed and those on the brink of eviction are in the deepest depths of despair, suffering greatly, before he rides in to the rescue with his Yoo-defended strategy of an EO. Thus, he figures, many will forget *why* they were in that predicament in the first place, and *who* put them there (him, of course). But he will get the credit for coming to their aid, and, he hopes, vote for him out of gratitude.

It's so obvious. And will likely work.

It's hard to understand the actual mechanics, but the rationale is that he can do whatever he wants via EO, and it's up to the courts to (much later) try to halt or undo it, but that in the meantime, everyone needs to obey. At least that's my (very limited) understanding of the SCOTUS-DACA-Yoo debacle.

That is why she has a PH.D and obviously wrote the book about her family and Donald herself.

6. This was a lie Donald was telling to Melania, while introducing her to niece Mary

Mary's interpretation was that it was a manifestation of how much Trump loves a "comeback" story. Even if it's all a lie.

He probably tried in some way to minimize everyone his wife came into contact with who's known him longer than her, esp. those he knows he's treated poorly in some way.

That's the way the narcissist tries establish themselves as the ultimate authority, so that they can discount anything negative anyone might happen to say.

'Oh, remember I told you Mary was a drug addict? Yeah, don't listen to her, drug addicts lie!'.

This is how people with this NPD operate in their relationships.

All roads going forth from Donald lead right back to him. Like boomerangs.

That she had sunk so low, and that he was helping her get back on her feet. Totally untrue. But that's how he sees the world and his role in it. Even if it's all a lie.

very large government funds, with fanfare, when running for re-election. IMO, he'll get the stimulus legislation passed and take as much credit for it as he can. If need be, he'll leave Trump behind.

You're worrying about a tiny slice of people who were already going to vote for him anyways.

and had the slightest idea of what they're doing.

Intrepidity, Trump's a criminal desperate to escape the consequences of his personal crimes. We all fear the unthinkable, but "likely" is that the end will probably be what we need but unsatisfying. That is, our party leaders, and the Republicans', will make a deal to make trumpism die and Trump himself leave office quietly.

Btw, congressional Democrats offered a deal to keep what you describe from happening 2-1/2 months ago. Congress controls the national purse. McConnell for some unknown reason avoided addressing it (hoping something would happen other than what has and was totally predictable?) and now they're over an election barrel and backed into an election corner of their own making. And ours, of course.
