For example, if you are in close quarters with a spreader for an extended period of time, you may pick up loads of virus that will overwhelm your immune response.
However, if you get just a whiff of virus from an errant breeze, your immune system has a chance to respond and control the virus before it replicates out of control. You would still be infected but your body may be able to limit the damage.

no symptoms or may die for the exact same type of patient.
