Has RMoney boxed himself in on his taxes?

So, it's September 20th and the Mittster has still not released even the "promised" 2011 taxes for which he filed an extension, never mind the ten years that he should be releasing. I'd bet $10,000 (if I had it) that he really believed that he could, as with other things, "kick the can down the road," and that he'd be so far ahead of Obama at this stage that his 2011 taxes would be meaningless. I think he thought that he could withstand a little bit of a hit from the no-doubt negative nuggets that will be found therein. The rub comes in that he's now at least five points behind, and if we're to believe what seems to be the trend, falling further. His tax returns showing up on or about October 15th could very well be the final nail in the coffin of his campaign, and he's scared shitless because he can't figure out how to deflect on this.

What do you think, DUers?

of all these nosy questions, thank you very much. No more tax returns showing us that they got IRS amnesty on undeclared Swiss assets.

be brought to bear in the end stages of the campaign over this? Harry Reid mentioned it either today or yesterday - can't remember which - but all the journalists are after the bright shiny object of the "47" tapes for the moment. I think he's fucked if he does and fucked if he doesn't, because either way, it fits into the narrative of him being focused only on the needs and concerns of the wealthy.

that someone in the media will remember the filing extension and begin clamoring for the public release. I am not, however, holding my breath!
