So Yertle's strategy on COVID relief is becoming obvious - do nothing

By doing nothing, he hopes to push Ds to a point where Ds themselves are offering compromises to their own HEROES Act. He can then claim that the Ds “got what they wanted.” If the voting public doesn’t like the woefully inadequate legislation, “blame the Ds.”

How can he take such a position when people are suffering? Easy. He’s rich, worth over $30-million. He doesn’t care. He’s on track to win reelection to another 6-year term in the Senate, albeit as Minority Leader. That’s a position he’s more comfortable being in anyway - no need to lead. Who’s going to blame Yertle for their woes when they have tRump or the “libtards” to blame? No one.

He’s got his unqualified RW judges in place everywhere. He knows tRump is going to lose, so no more SCOTUS appointments. If the Senate falls, well, he got more hack judges appointed than anyone could have imagined.

That’s my take.

To the September budget fights to use it as leverage. Nothing but bargaining chips to him.
