Oh look, @realDonaldTrump reverses himself again, this time on vote by mail. He acknowledges it’s the same as absentee voting. And he acknowledges it’s safe and secure.

While the citizens of Florida recklessly voted to restore voting rights to felons, the Republican-controlled legislature short-circuited that ballot measure by requiring those newly re-enfranchised voters to pay all their outstanding court costs and fees before being allowed to vote again. But it's a funny thing; the state can't tell someone what they owe. There is no centralized database that says, "You owe $1,234.56, and upon payment of that amount, your account with the state is cleared." No, a person has to check with the Department of Corrections, and the Department of Justice, and the Victims Restitution Office, and the Trial Court Division, and the Left-Handed Fiddlers' Association to be sure that all accounts are clear.

So, with the electorate suitably handicapped and the "wrong" voters excluded, Trump's okay with Florida's vote-by-mail system.
