One year ago, just hours after the massacre in El Paso, nine precious lives were cut short in Dayton. In the wake of the tragedies, Donald Trump promised the most modest of gun safety policies, then caved to the @NRA and failed to deliver.

As president, I’ll take on the powerful gun lobby to pass universal background checks, ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and close loopholes to keep guns out of dangerous hands. We can and will end our gun violence epidemic.

to an opinion on guns. They will say assault weapons are already illegal and Biden doesn't know what he's talking about. Everyone knows what we mean when we're talking about assault weapons. It makes little difference if it a fully automatic weapon or semi-auto. I believe troops are trained to not us full-auto, at least most of the time. It matters more how good the guy is with it and how much ammo he has. It might be better if some idiot had full-auto if he only had one magazine.
