But what about all the rest of the world?
Aren't they rushing to find an effective vaccine too?
And the American one is likely to be pushed out by the Trumpanzees long before it's proven safe and effective.
It could have horrendous side effects and not be effective at all as long as Trump is president.
Trump's Thalidomide might be the result.
Other countries may rush things but none of them have politicized it like Trump has. (Well, who knows about Putin, but putting Russia aside.)
It seems another country's approval of a vaccine will be much more trustworthy than one from the US government.
I wish the media would focus more on other country's discoveries as opposed to America's and explore how Americans could access them if needed.

(7,421 posts)More than the US vaccines, honestly.
The looming story in my mind is what is going to happen with all these competing vaccines. Will vaccines be targeted towards age groups? Or other risk factors? Will you be able to choose your vaccine? Will rumors swirl about which vaccines are the most effective? Will there be shortages of the "good" ones and will we have to settle for the "crappy" ones?
This is the real missed story.

(14,967 posts)Trump is going to announce a vaccine before election day. You can count on that. He's going to find someone, anyone, in the relevant federal agencies to spew confirmatory bullshit on his behalf. And the media is setting this fraud up for him like he's a kid playing fucking Tee-ball.
