Will players be compensated if they end up with organ damage & are unable to play?

Quit postponing games.
2 guys test positive? You forfeit the game.
Off the field, I think way too many players are not taking the precautions seriously.
19 of 33 players from Miami? Seriously?
And now St. Louis.
Both are hotspots, although Miami is much worse than StL.
I find it suspicious that towns with bad outbreaks are seeing this in one week.

Great idea, Professor! 👍

And I believe you are correct about many not taking covid seriously! Mind boggling! 🤯

They have more money than Croesus, a finite number of personnel who are all adults. And they can't keep the virus from spreading, even with all the built-in advantages. And people are seriously saying that schools should fully reopen next month don't have nearly the advantages MLB has!

go ahead and shut down all sports this fall.

You'll be fine sports leagues. You'll make billions again next year or even in the Spring. You're being penny wise and pound foolish right now.

Players in both leagues were checked into a bubble and kept there. As long as players and/or staff don’t get stupid, both leagues have a chance of playing on.

MLB and the NFL are trying to stage teams in their hone cities, with travel between cities. A bad concept because it creates too many possible infection vectors.

I tend to agree that the NFL won’t last more than 2 weeks. I believe that college football won’t last past two weeks either. The Big 5 conferences are playing a conference only schedule, but that involves a lot of air travel, for example, Texas A&M playing Florida, or Georgia, or South Carolina.

You are going to keep 18-22 year old kids locked up when there is a campus full of girls.

Good luck.

I was pretty close to a Jock that was a nationally ranked Tennis player, but Tennis was not big on campus, so she wasn’t much more than a regular student, though a rich one (I had issues with her wealth and my poverty, so things didn’t go as far as they could have). I also knew a woman that was a Olympic caliber Swimmer, but again, it was a fringe sport. I took one Freshman PE class with two top Football recruits, one made it to the NFL and played for a few years. I didn’t meet any Basketball or Baseball players, though I was casual friends with the girlfriend of a top Baseball player, I don’t know whether he made it to MLB.

gloves on every player changed after every play, but the contact in every play and huddle will still be an issue. I just don't see how they'll be able to play safely.

The NBA and NHL are handling the virus well, because they’re playing in bubbles. MLB is falling apart because they aren’t. And there’s a lot more contact in football than baseball. If players aren’t wearing masks, they’re going to be breathing in each others’ faces all the time.

The NFL is the most Trump-friendly sports league. Do they have the guts to play in a bubble, and otherwise take the virus seriously? Otherwise, it’s a recipe for disaster.

NFL owners can want to lock the players in a bubble all they want to. If the players union says no, it is a no.

Shaming the players into staying healthy? Sounds like he is encouraging them to cheat on their Covid tests.

It works only for the opposite of what is demanded.
