I told my friend some time ago that her ads were very strange because they never featured any family or friends. Finally there was an ad featuring an emotional woman who as a constituent praised McSally for helping her get good medical coverage. Ad backfired when she was outed as a paid staffer.
No one likes her.

(6,490 posts)I won't be surprised if it's that big in a few more weeks but seems a bit out of mainstream polling at this point. As long as Trumpublicans are the party of pandemic denial, secret police, and longing for the good old days of slavery, it's going to keep breaking our way.
Even though they'll probably have some October surprises, I rather suspect that the intelligence community that he has so dissed (and maybe other NATO intel communities) is going to have some leaky surprises for him too. Putin-Taliban bounties was probably just the first salvo.

(2,013 posts)They're called Morning Consult. Here are the details:
U.S. Senate Ariz.
JUL 17-26, 2020
B/C
Morning Consult
908 LV
Kelly 52%
McSally 36%
Kelly +16
I don't think he's REALLY up by 16 points, but the average of polls does have him up 6.8% (and I've never seen him trailing, and RARELY is he under 50%, so there's not a ton of undecideds).
I think this might be a state that in some weird way sees the Senate candidate (because he's so strong) helping a Presidential win for Biden (instead of the other way around). Weird, but as an AZ resident, I LOVE IT! Let's kick McSally's ass AGAIN! #GOTV!!!

(56,829 posts)when Arizona had that governor that stuck her finger into Obama's chest when he visited the state, she laughed at polling in her state because Hispanic voters don't vote in nearly as high percentages as white voters (or African American voters) - sadly, at the time, she was proven correct. Hopefully, Arizona (and Texas) will prove her wrong this year.

(7,968 posts)I'm not even saying that stuff. I'll scream it loudly if we've won on the Night of November 3rd but a lot of shit from the reactionaries still is going to hit the fan between now and then so buckle up and prepare to FIGHT!

(5,275 posts)Please let it be a reckoning this November. Democrats controlling all three branches, a return to competence and fairness.
Had a competent person been in Office this term we can imagine a far different approach from the start versus this virus and tens of thousands who are now dead still alive. And not upending normalcy to the extent it is now.
