WTF? Gohmert driving back to TX from DC after being told to self quarantine.

https://www.texastribune.org/2020/07/29/louie-gohmert-coronavirus/amp/

"U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Tyler, has tested positive for the new coronavirus, he said in an interview with East Texas Now where he speculated that he may have caught the virus from wearing his mask.
.....
“I can’t help but wonder ... if I injected the virus into my mask when I was moving,” he said in an interview.

...

Gohmert said he received guidance from the doctors at the White House and the attending physician at the Capitol that he only needed to self-quarantine for 10 days. He said he will drive back to his East Texas home and that his staff is all getting tested for the virus.

“Like Dorothy said, there’s no place like home,” Gohmert said."...(more stupidity at link)

and it's nearly 20 hours of driving. You are right about needing several stops along the way for meals, gas, at least one night's accommodation, etc. That's not the usual definition of self isolation or quarantine!

They don't understand how the female reproductive system works so of course they don't have a clue about airborn particles.

Maybe three.

Hotel staff exposed and also all the times getting food and gas.

Very irresponsible.

Not that I am surprised by that ass clown.

It's possible he's making one or more of his staff drive him back so it could be done without stopping for anything but fuel and food. I wouldn't want to run into his little gang at the Cracker Barrel.

so he won't even have to stop for bathroom breaks!

https://www.biography.com/.amp/news/lisa-nowak-lucy-in-the-sky

"In February 2007, U.S. astronaut Lisa Nowak drove from Houston, Texas, to Orlando, Florida, to confront the woman who'd won the affections of an astronaut that Nowak had been involved with. Instead of having the conversation she claimed she'd wanted, Nowak was arrested for attacking the other woman. A story about the space program and an out-of-control love triangle would naturally capture attention, but the reported detail that Nowak wore diapers on her 900-mile drive in order to avoid bathroom breaks transformed the incident into irresistible fodder for tabloids and late-night talk shows alike (though Nowak's attorney would later insist his client never put on diapers). Nowak was an inspiration the 2019 film Lucy in the Sky, which stars Natalie Portman as an astronaut named Lucy Cola."
