KIPS BAY, Manhattan — Video appears to show a person pulled into an unmarked minivan as NYPD officers keep protesters away from the vehicle in Manhattan on Monday night.

Protesters were near East 25th Street and Second Avenue when several arrests were made, police said. It's not clear why the arrests were made.

Only one person was shown being taken into the minivan. A man in an orange shirt with "Warrant Squad" written across the back got into the front passenger seat before the minivan drove off.

That woman was taken into custody because she allegedly damaged police cameras during five separate incidents in and around City Hall Park, NYPD officials said. Police said the arresting officers were assaulted with rocks & bottles.

14. It was a criminal suspect. They had a warrant for the woman's arrest.

That's why the cop from the Warrant Squad was wearing the bright orange shirt that said WARRANT SQUAD in big letters on the back.

The "protestor-journalist" who took the video and then posted it alleging a "kidnapping" by Trump's goons assisted by the NYPD needs to notice and report details like that, even if the facts and details don't serve the narrative.

Her attempt to escalate a warrant-based arrest into a violent confrontation between cops and protestors is disgusting.
