So a businessman gets to have 100% deductible lunches on the taxpayers' money?

Damn! And us truck drivers can’t even take a shower, because we’re to busy paying taxes!

Ok, I get showers when I fuel, but other expenses are not deductible anymore! ie: food, motels, supplies for me and the truck.

Those damn GOPers and Trump want everything for themselves! All the while families are struggling to find work and put food on the table! Pathetic! If this should pass the Senate, they will take more down the road!

the taxpayers kickin for the cost of meals. They have to be relaxed to make deals, that requires steaks, lobsters, oysters, champaign, mixed drinks, padded lunch bills, tips. Without tax breaks for their meals, the business system would collapse. So, lesser paid workers must contribute more taxes to lubricate the businessmen's deal making.

for an expense account (possibly by giving up some wages) and pay for those items from there. It won't be income to you, and is deductible for your employer.

Note, that meals are only 50% deductible generally (maybe 80% in your business).

has to turn it into an accountable plan rather than a per diem. It will still operate the same in reality, except you'll give the receipts up to the per diem to him instead of keeping them for the tax man.

Then it doesn't count as compensation and will not be on your W-2.

brought to you by the GOP.
Business can depreciate the value of their equipment purchases. Individuals can‘t.

Investors can deduct the interest on loans taken out to buy investments.

But we cannot deduct interest for loans needed to make ends meet, or to buy a car.

It‘s a rigged system.

once the GOP all flee back to their coffins for their upcoming decade-long exile. We need to put a stake in Mitch's heart to make he won't return to feed off the body politic again. We must rid DC of these foul parasites.
