Trust me, there's no point in an extra hour of extreme heat in the afternoon and evening.

Hawaii does not deal with it either.

Personally I wish they were on the equivalent of Mountain Daylight Time all year though. It gets light way too early in the morning here.

I think it might be a bit misleading to say there are no mask mandates at all in Arizona. 75% of the state has them including Maricopa and Pima counties as well as Phoenix and all the surrounding cities.

Arizona is a very rural state in many parts. It does not always make sense to treat every area of a state with the exact same mandates. It is clear the mandates in the populated areas have been working over the past several weeks. Plus you have businesses themselves requiring them.

But, per Johns-Hopkins, they only doing 10,000 to 16,000 tests per day.
That test number seems awfully low! Florida is up around 60,000, Illinois around 40,000.
7.5 million people, 13,000 tests a day? One in 58 residents seems low.
