Washington, DC Voters in three key battleground states are closely following and by a significant majority oppose Donald Trumps recent use of unidentified federal agents to suppress protests, according to new polling conducted by Public Policy Polling and released today by MoveOn Political Action.
The polls, fielded among registered voters in Arizona (816), Maine (561), and North Carolina (939) between July 21 and 23, show majorities in each state oppose the Trump administrations actions.
<...>
These results show that Trumps plan to use unidentified federal agents to suppress local protests is backfiring with the public. Voters oppose it, and they want their senators to act, said Rahna Epting, MoveOn Political Actions executive director. Continued enabling of Trump by Senators McSally, Collins, and Tillis is likely to hurt them at the ballot box. In this case, their political interests are aligned with the public interest, and they should do the right thing and join efforts in Congress to limit these abuses. When are they going to stand up to Trumps continued abuses of power? Voters have had enough.

(24,412 posts)This is crazy. The COVID-19 Pandemic is waaaay more important for most people and, besides, what Trump is doing is transparent as hell, not to mention excessive beyond any measure. Not to mention how he's trying to act like some paragon of Law & Order while hypocritically pardoning and commuting sentences of cronies and other compatriots.

(10,252 posts)His every utterance, presser, edict, policy, decision -- it seems to always backfire, be rolled back, dednied, lied about. Just complete lack of insight, wisdom, prudence, carefulness. Always. Is it any wonder that he has always been a failure at everything he attempts?
This is the guy you ask who to bet on for the world series, the superbowl, the NCAA champs -- and then bet the opposite.
