Did someone give Donald an ultimatum?

That appears to be the case?

He met with Republican leaders about a week ago and it looks like some people are running very scared? They are afraid they are going to be pulled down with Herr Leader. The polls do not look good.

More or less, they told him they are losing because of his low ratings on handling the coronavirus. He needs to make some changes. Oh yeah, it would help if you stopped tweeting, also, they told him.

So, because Herr Leader does not accept losing, he said he would do whatever they said. He would say people need to wear masks. He would say they need to keep social distancing. He would say that he is canceling the Repub Convention in Jacksonville. He would stress that children need to be safe before they go back to school. And he would stop tweeting, if that was what they wanted?

The conversation may have gone further? They may have given him until Labor Day to turn it around? Or they look at nominating someone else at their virtual convention?

Immediately, Trump thought of his attack strategy. He would attack Joe Biden for being senile and having dementia. He would tell people about his dementia test he took a couple of years ago. He said he "aced" it. He remembered "person, woman, man, camera, TV". He was able to repeat them. Instead of making Joe Biden look bad, he only exposed his own mental frailty.

Ivanka Jared Miller Bannon and Putin but he is fundraising now. His family is milking every dime they can FROM the campaign. Trump’s never put his office above let alone equal to himself but he does put money ahead of all. It is what determines worth in humans to him.

He’s trying be nice for the housewives while cracking “urban” skulls. Good luck with that.

RNC is helpless, GOP candidates are helpless, they all have the trump anchor around their necks deservedly so. Modifying behavior for a day or 2 not going to change 3 1/2 years of indfiference to the american people. Throw in the COVID response from the beginning by trump and most of the gOP, they can;t undo it or hide it.

The real problem will be after the massive losses Nov 3rd and a even more dangerous trump as a lameduck president with a humiliating defeat and destruction of the GOP as we know it. This will be the MOST dangerous 8 weeks with trump releasing his inner evil to extract revenge on America

many needlessly because of trumps and the GOP actions, more to the point, INACTION. This will be a historic response to trump and GOP ability to govern.

After Nov 3rd, the gOP may no longer be a viable 2nd party in America as the stain of trump and the stench of GOP governing will not go away for years, if not decades

Trump has no loyalty or love for the GOP. He is not nor has he ever been a republican. Burning down the GOP along with the country is just icing on the cake for him.

Chump has no loyalty to anyone (except Pootie) and that's why he's been using blackmail to force the GOP to do his bidding. Standard strong-arm tactics, just like he has always used in business. I'm predicting that Michael Cohen's book will tell a lot of this story, just in time for the election.

The entire party needs to go down. They are self-destructing before our eyes. There isn't a single GOP incumbent that deserves to be re-elected. Not one!

someone else"

Putting someone else at the top of the ticket will not redeem them from 4 years of being complicit - enab ling the travesties of this administration. Every repub needs to pay the political price for ignoring their oath of office. They need to be voted out no matter who is at the top of the ballot.

There's no way in the world that the changes we've seen this week originated from him.

This week should be a lot more frightening to folks than it appears to be - there was always going to be a tightening of the poll numbers as we get closer to the election, and if he keeps this up it will get uncomfortably tight, and soon.

The polls that came out in the last day or two are still reflecting his behavior before his 180 on everything. I'm curious to see what the polling numbers will be by the middle to end of next week.
