Another huge crowd tonight in Portland, including a new "wall" on the front lines: a Wall of Vets.
Here's a look at the line of military veterans getting set up here in front of the federal courthouse. Behind them, the Wall of Moms and the Wall of Dads are arriving.

Here is Marine Corps veteran Duston Obermeyer talking about the Wall of Vets.
He mentions Chris David, a Navy veteran that went up to speak with federal officers last week and got brutally hit with a baton.
That backstory/video here: https://nytimes.com/2020/07/20/us/portland-protests-navy-christopher-david.html

(4,981 posts)I want them to know, Im with them. I am with the standing patriots of the nation, right now.
Standing tall AGAIN for their country. Nobody expected to ever have to fight on US land to protect their rights. So proud to see this. Eric Prince will not prevail this time. I am convinced this "army" is his, the people who caused so much turmoil in Iraq, killing innocent people. Bloodthirsty goons, with itchy trigger fingers.

(4,981 posts)They failed the men and women in uniform. They failed every man, woman, and child running from the virus.
But Portland stood tall tonight, and that US Veterans are there standing, too, makes this the good fight of our times. I am with all of them. To go from John Robert Lewis to Portland in one week, it is my privilege to take on this great fight.
The United States of America can be a just and fair society - just have to further secure it from those who would rob us of our lives and efforts.

(2,199 posts)just remember to "Stand To!"
(for those not familiar with the term "Stand To", it is about being fully alert and prepared twice a day at Dawn and Dusk, likely times for an attack)
