Not to go to a restaurant even outside. I thought that was okay since we didn't have many cases, she said cases are growing in my area. Tourists coming through.

She said they don't let anyone with covid symptoms come to office, they go to ER for testing. I had already delayed my yearly tests since March and didn't want to wait till next spring.

The last time I went out, I witnessed the crowds at a nearby popular ice cream place and people crowded at tables outside downtown restaurants and I cringed. I also live near a popular tourist destination and I've seen cars from numerous states all over the country. Masks are required inside everywhere here in New York, but I have no wish to take the chance of joining the mask-less even outside.

I bought a genuine hammered wok, splurged on a Kamado Joe jr., and after watching depressing news on u-tube, study recipes, make my own tortillas, corn bread, and get fat. I’m ready for slaughter.

There's a Tim Horton's across from my drug store. They have drive through service, but their outdoor tables are turned upside down to prevent people from gathering there.

So a group of about 8 guys who were regulars before covid still gather in the parking lot after getting their coffee abd donuts. They park together and stand around leaning on their cars and each other whike they chat. None of them wear masks, of course, because they are eating and drinking.

Not all are socially distanced. Then there’s people handling your food.

I don’t understand at all.

I have ordered takeout if it’s food that they’ve had to handle with untensils as opposed to food prep by hand.

There's no evidence that covid-19 is transmitted through food; this virus can't replicate in food, and you don't get it through your digestive system. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/food-and-COVID-19.html You get sick when the virus into your respiratory system, not through eating food. The reason restaurants are dangerous is that there are other people there who are breathing into the air you breathe.
