It seems too convenient that six months into the pandemic, the WH finally decides to acknowledge the severity of the heath crisis facing us and mention some basic, common sense approaches to initial management. After the failed Tulsa rally, and the cancelled NH one (reportedly due to low attendance), is Trump trying to set up a narrative for explaining away the lack of adoring crowds at the upcoming convention?
There is always some political motive behind everything this administration does, so I dont think anyone believes that they really just suddenly decided to embrace the science behind disease prevention.

Some of them actually get that their own voters are dying because of the anti-mask stupidity.

(22,124 posts)CV, it seems everywhere one turns, and before you know it, all of the rump officials are sick. Don't have anybody else to blame but themselves for being stupid in today's times that call for prudent measures when out and about in a public venue, and also, this sure doesn't look good in anybody's book when all or a lot of rump's goons are coming down w/ the CV.

Even Cains Twitter has become pro-mask, after an anti-mask Tweet on July 2, the day he was admitted to the hospital.
Plus, Wal-Mart.

(9,998 posts)He's probably on a ventilator and about to die, if he hasn't died already. They LIE constantly, so there's no way to know what's going on, but given there has not been a single photo since he went into the hospital, he's probably doing poorly.

(1,652 posts)The account strongly hinted it by using the term "cruise control." They claim he's improving and also said something weaselly like "if his progress goes on as it has," the doctors will try more "proactive" treatments. If you type "herman cain tulsa" into Twitter search (you don't need to be signed in or anything) you can see discussions.
