(6,423 posts)I have question peoples intelligence at this point.
If only there was a test or something.
Only one spitting asshole away from: Winn Dixie masks mandatory after "the incident".
After they have to toss all the food.
Thinking things through aint a strong suit of these folks, is it?
I would not let people in a grocery store at all, deliveries/curb side pickup should be the norm for the foreseeable future, there are too many safety concerns, including but not limited to dealing with assholes/mental defectives.

(17,550 posts)My wife sent them a nice message saying that, after 22 years of buying all of our groceries there, we would no longer be shopping with them....ever.

(2,186 posts)My only experience with them has been on trips to Florida. Publix is a drastically superior store, so much so that I can't believe Winn Dixie is even open. So f-them.

(60,010 posts)I know Publix from living in Mobile.
Now we are in a rural town and Publix is a 2 hour drive away. Sad memories now.
No longer a Winn-Dixie or a Food Lion up here,

(14,565 posts)I shop at Winn-Dixie all the time, including last night. Everyone was wearing a mask except one guy looking at the meat had it pulled down below his nose. I almost said something to him, which did not.
That Winn-Dixie is huge and clean, much larger and nicer than the nearby Publix. Also it has a self-checkout option. Both are rare for Winn-Dixie, which typically lags Publix in size and class. I have done almost all of my grocery shopping at BJ's, Target and Winn-Dixie during coronavirus, due to size and therefore distancing. I've abandoned Aldi due to small footprint and demographic dismissive of coronavirus.
I'll be contacting Winn-Dixie regarding this decision

(58,785 posts)of their shocking disregard for the wellbeing of their staff and customers. It's not among the closest markets, so when I stopped there last month in early evening it'd been some while since the last time. No wipes, no wipers, no arrows, narrow aisles. Most checkers I saw were wearing masks (poor things!), but one young woman had hers pulled down below her nose as she worked rush-hour shoppers. I cut my shopping short as I increasingly realized just how bad it was in there and told the manager I would not be back.
I also will not be back after this is all over. Winn-Dixie is dead to me.
