I think if you were a Trump supporter, you loved the FOX interview.

We see the incompetence and racism. They see him talking about "freedom" and mocking Biden by saying, "Mommy, come and get me", etc. They see him fighting violence and anarchy in a strong presidential way. We see fascist police tactics of a dictator.

In my opinion, Trump did very well with his base, and that is why the interview was successful for him.

Wallace did very well with most of the questions he asked. It was the ones he didn't ask that were problematic. For example, near the end of the interview, after he showed Trump what a great job he did against James Comey, Trump went into his spiel about how Obama, Comey, the "lovers", et al should all be in prison for spying on his campaign. The followup should have been about Roger Stone and Wikileaks spying and stealing emails from the Clinton campaign.

Instead, we got, "Thank you, Mr President."

he needs to convince. He already has those folks. Like he said, he could shoot someone on 5th ave and they would still support him.
His challenge is to convince the more " rational" people who took a chance on him because they hated Hillary but would have voted for another Dem, or the ones that really thought he was a good business man. His challenge is to convince those folks to stick with him.
He's bleeding those folks. I don't think there are enough of the other folks to give him this election. That's why they will rely on voter suppression. That is the thing we have to worry about.

Wallace should have stopped him (as he did about the Biden defunding the police BS) and said "that's not true. There was no spying on your campaign by Obama."

But he didn't.

...that's saying something.

Very few of them will get far with the nonsense excuses and dodges he makes here. No truth at all in the responses and it's glaring, not any nuance, at all. Nothing for the Trump klan to market. Just isolated with the stupidest of lies. This is why he'll lose.
