Now really think about the kind of ad you are suggesting: a scroll of hundreds and hundreds of crimes in the space of thirty or forty-five seconds. It would be too much for people to read or even synthesize. And it would really be an intellectual exercise that has no emotional impact, and good political ads have an emotional component.
