Lindsey Graham 'splains the difference between John Lewis and BLM protestors.

https://www.rawstory.com/2020/07/lindsey-graham-goes-on-fox-news-to-explain-the-big-difference-between-john-lewis-and-blm-protesters/

On Saturday, even Fox News was discussing civil rights leader John Lewis, who passed away on Friday.

For a segment billed as “remembering the life and legacy” of Rep. Lewis, Fox News personality Jeanine Pirro interviewed Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

“John was known for causing, ‘good trouble.’ That’s what he described the civil rights movement — ‘good trouble.’ Peaceful protest, being hit in the head for a worthy cause. That’s different than what you see playing out in the streets of the United States,” Graham argued.

“I think John Lewis loved America, he wanted to make it better. What you see happening today here is people who hate America and want to change it,” the South Carolina Republican declared. “Big difference, but he will be missed.”

So John Lewis didn't want to change America? What a dipshit.

fire bombings, the response to the bus strike etc. is evidence enough that the protests weren't taken kindly.

Here are articles on events around that era.

Fuck him and every single Trump boot locker who refuse to act on the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.

This is nothing more than a RW attempt to whitewash Lewis and justify their own hatred. Sorry, it didn't work with MLK and it sure as hell isnt going to work with John Lewis' legacy. They have a lot of gall to say such things right now.

Lindsay Graham is saying that John Lewis was patient and willing to wait as long as necessary for change and BLM is bad b/c it wants change now. No waiting. And they're "marking (bad) trouble with their insurgency, loud voices and ubiquitous protest marches. By reducing John Lewis and his message doesn't change the immense contributions and sacrifices John Lewis made for ALL OF US.
