Has Anyone Heard The Term "Boomer Remover"?

I heard on the radio a few days ago that a lot of people within the Trump campaign are referring to the Coronavirus as the "Boomer Remover." I've wondered for a long time why Trump doesn't seem interested in stopping the virus at all, and even seems intent on spreading it. I may have gotten my answer. It's calculated.

According to the report I heard, people within the Trump campaign (most likely Stephen Miller) have looked at the numbers, seen that the Coronavirus is disproportionately killing blacks and Hispanics 2-3 times more than whites, and have made a tactical decision to allow the virus to kill off people who likely won't vote for Trump. As an added bonus, they look at it as a way to keep old folks from bleeding Social Security dry, hence the term, "the Boomer Remover." So when you, like me, wonder why he doesn't seem to have any interest in stopping the spread of this virus, now you'll know that it's a tactic to try to help him win the election. It's all about getting himself re-elected, as is literally everything he does. Lives of "the little people" be damned.

There is nothing about this administration that is NOT pure evil.

There are about 4.25 million children in Florida. 31% of the children in Florida is more than a million children. You're claiming that more than a million children in Florida have tested positive. That is not true.

I think it’s his normal incompetence and refusal to listen to those who aren’t. He’s never once experienced the negative consequences of his bad decisions. He has always been bailed out. We see people needlessly dying as a bad thing. He wonders how that impacts him and honestly, it doesn’t. Dead people don’t vote. The idea that someone might hold him responsible and be angry never crosses his mind. He doesn’t have the ability to understand that losing someone is painful. It’s never happened to him and it won’t hurt when it does. Now, publicly embarrassed he gets because it’s all about him.

the need to get some lamb's blood to paint over the front door lintel. Hey, it worked on the last plague of Egypt, right? And we are both first-born. OK, don't report on this confession of a non-PC quip because the other night I also meditated w/folks on-line calling for ancient but advanced star-people from the limits of the universe to reveal themselves to kind, peace-loving humans on planet Earth in need of higher education...LOL. It was reported the next day that 77% of those humans so meditating made contact??? I know if I were the Pres, that's the first classified folder I'd want to see (Rozwell Incident) and Area 51. One might need to be nuts to stay the course of the 4 years after that revelation. I'd hand off the football to the VP within the hour! Alas, no star-people made contact with me, but the deep breathing and reps of Om-s and/or Yu's sure did relieve stress. I'm into what works - see? Unashamedly, I'm really open about getting Joe in the Oval! LET'S DO THIS!

I'm okay with okay Boomer. I'm not okay with wishing people dead. Although that may be rather hypocritical of me, because I wouldn't care if every person who still claims the Republican mantle in this country dropped dead. They should know enough to get the hell out of Dodge.

It is ironic how the young people are the preferred markets.

They buy clothes and music. (Most of the time it is dad and mom buying those items for them.) Maybe small ticket cars, homes.

Boomers have had time to accumulate some wealth, and buy higher ticket cars, houses, and a few of us are lucky enough to be able to invest. And I think there are still more of us than them.

Yet we are the forgotten market, except by the drug companies.

We are still a very large demographic. We should USE that to our advantage, ESPECIALLY in politics.

Once we are gone, WHO are they going to blame everything on?

I got the impression he heard it where he works, but it sure pissed him off in a way that “Okay, Boomer” would not have. It’s hard to laugh off someone’s callous death-wish when you have a heart stent and 3 kids at home needing to go to college — in the middle of a global pandemic.

ETA: All of Mom’s children are Democrats, too, and probably as sick as I am of being told our age-cohort “all” voted for Trump.

I think the virus is killing off the greatest generation more than boomers. The oldest boomers are 75 and the youngest are 55. Trump won a majority of older voters I think over 65, they were the only group he won in the majority. So he is killing off his own voters. The virus disproportionately affects POC, but in sheer numbers, the majority of people getting it are white, according to charts I’ve seen. And he forges ahead with his spreader events infecting his own people, including staff, there is no logic to it. I think he enjoys betraying those who admire him. So he tells them they’ll be fine and he likes that they die for him.

citizens through neglect on purpose.... I can't find it at the moment, but it was a graph displaying the following 4 line graphs of covid-19 cases over time:
1) red counties in red states
2) blue counties in red states
3) red counties in blue states
4) blue counties in blue states

Even though both are rocketing upwards, #2 is outpacing #1.... And if they only care about electoral outcomes, and damn the consequences, then this explains Repuke governors' intransigence. Voter disenfranchisement by mass killing....

at least, not before the election.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the administration's tone shifted pretty significantly back in April as it started to become clear that the virus was disproportionately hitting communities of color, though.

I think their calculation isn't just kill off voters, but to depress and demoralize African American communities, so they don't turn out. Not a smart plan.

First off, people are going to start responding by preventing the worst case scenario coming about. Secondly, the blatant racism of their willful neglect black and brown communities is going to backfire and turn out massive numbers of minority voters.

No I have no doubt that the governors of Arizona, Florida, Georgia, and Texas are doing a lackadaisical job protecting the large cities because they don't think black and brown lives matter; when those four clowns took their oaths to protect the citizens of their state, they obviously didn't think of black and brown citizens as people
