Steve Schmidt on Russian bounties.

Steve Schmidt

American journalists have an absolute professional and ethical responsibility to ask Trump about Russian bounties on the heads of America’s fighting men and women. That he has not been asked about this is simply appalling. Trump’s breach of faith demands accountability. Ask
the question. Demand the answer. The essential role of a free press in a democratic society should be demonstrated in this instance. This is a serious issue and Trump’s transgression against our military must not fade into the abyss of chaos and confusion that shapes our news

Ask 1000 times and make him say hoax a 1000 times. Rake him over the coals, if for nothing else, for not reading the daily briefing book. It says DAILY right on the fucking cover! Get to the bottom of "was he told?", if not "why not?", and if so "why no response". After all that, find out why there is still no response.

to ask about Putin's paying bounties to murder American troops. It was the first issue Lawrence raised on his show this week, and he is just as irate as Schmidt about such dereliction by the gutless Press Corps. They make big bucks to act as stenographers for White House gossipers and to invent a coherent narrative out of Trump's nonsensical spewing of lies.

They are letting it slide into the ether. It should be the second question asked every day.

First; "When is the pResident going to acknowledge the rise in Covid-19 cases and the need for more testing, tracing and a issue a real plan?"

Second; "Why has the pResident not done anything about the bounties that Russia placed on American soldiers heads, and don't lie this time and say they have not been proven, they have, what is your answer?"

Lock him up.

All he had to do was pose with a pile of GOYA products, wear a mask (once), commute Roger Stone's sentence and have Navarro write an anti-Fauci Op-ed, and *poof* the Russian Bountygate story is history, never to be heard about again - while the media breathlessly follows every squirrel that Trump tosses into their path.

His reptilian understanding of how to manipulate the media is astounding.

our media today is geared toward drama, entertainment, infotainment.

The day of Murrow, Swayze, Cronkite, Steinem, Ida B. Wells, Dorothy Thompson, Neil Sheehan, Dan Rather, Walter Winchell is over and long gone. And while Winchell was mainly concentrated on gossip I bet he would have found something on the POTUS currently squatting at 1600 with his grifter GOYA beans loving family.

There are many more and I remember some. Today's so-called journalists are bought off, frightened children afraid of losing their place at trumps table serving a poisoned meal. They are pitiful and Fox News? NSP-GOP propaganda machine for a racist fascist regime.
