New Kroger and Walmart COVID-19 safety statements

Kroger:

Text:
Kroger News @KrogerNews

With the increase in #COVID19 cases across the country, we are committed to doing our part to help reduce the spread of the virus. Starting July 22, we will require all customers in all locations to wear a mask, joining our associates who continue to wear masks.

Walmart @Walmart

To best serve our communities and protect the health and safety of our shoppers and associates, face coverings will be required in all stores beginning Monday, July 20. For more on our decision and policy, please see here: https://bit.ly/3h34FNK

It's about time these companies executed firm nation-wide policies instead of a hodge-podge of differing local policies and enforcement methods.

Apparently, some boards of directors are finally waking up to the realities of this pandemic.

Face masks ON will HELP the economy. I've been avoiding my local Kroger like the plague (yes! I went there!) and shopping elsewhere because of nonmask compliance.

Americans are such babies. Do I like wearing my mask? Hell no. I wear it anyway, because it's the right thing to do!

Our Kroger here in Louisville did a great job with encouraging donning of masks (although there was no entry requirement), while Lowes was horrible and right-wing Home Depot did a good job.

None of it made sense here before so I'm hoping policies like these will give our public more confidence when they must go shopping.

more than it helps them. So, like MF45, they don't give a shit.

I honestly think that for most of them, if they knew they were infected they'd probably want to spread it so others would suffer with them.

14. I've been avoiding our local Walmart. Few masks on customers and employees, including management.

I went in to pick up a prescription two days ago. Maybe 30% overall wearing masks.

Three Kroger employees were diagnosed with covid at a store near me. The one I actually do use has had all employees masked up for months. The customers were 50/50 until recently.

I went today and 99% of the customers were masked up. One redneck buffoon in there buying Doritos, cigarettes and Pepsi had no mask. His shirt looked he used it to change the oil in his car.

POS!
