It went from Wuhan, China originally to the city of Hazelwood, Missouri in a matter of weeks in March.

It showed up in the local business cluster of offices in April.
Everyone locked down around the same time...no one from those offices had been admitted to our campus at that point.

In May, the country went insane and started "re-opening", Missouri was on TV for Branson pool party...
My company implemented mandatory health screening for all people entering the building for any purpose and banned all non-company people from the buildings.

In June, the disease was in another building within my company complex...but no one I had seen at all.
We announced that the current staffing levels, minimizing people in any area to fewer than 10 people and no more than 4 people in a conference room (usually seats 15)...

In July, the disease was in the father of the boyfriend of one of my direct reports' daughter, who had come into direct contact with the infected individual, but not 'sustained contact' (> 15 minutes in the same enclosed room, with 6' of separation).

Last week, it was one of my 3 co-managers into 14 day quarantine when we learned her 83 year old father was tested positive. She and I had not been within 6 feet of each other since April and masks are required in the areas that are open for people in our complex - which is STILL not everyone people come in contact with outside of the campus...

I am at the fatalistic assumption that if I continue to come to work, regardless of my private office, 3 inch think door and air blowing past me towards the doorway, I will eventually be exposed. From there, it will be a crap shoot on survival odds.

It is a bleak reality we inhabit, thanks to a single demented painted clown...
