Shame on USA Today for publishing a trashy hit piece on Dr. Fauci by Peter Navarro

I won't excerpt from the article itself. Here's the link:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/todaysdebate/2020/07/14/anthony-fauci-wrong-with-me-peter-navarro-editorials-debates/5439374002/

But here is how USA Today attempts to preserve its dignity and integrity (such as it is) as it knowingly publishes a medically irresponsible hit-piece on Dr. Anthony Fauci:

Opinion: This piece expresses the views of its author(s), separate from those of this publication

Sorry, but that doesn't cut it!

USA Today needs to decide whether it wants to be taken seriously or whether it belongs in the same category with Infowars and other trashy publications.

That disclaimer doesn't free them of the moral responsibility they now have for sharing with their readership advice by a trade advisor to ignore the advice of the foremost authority in this entire country on infectious disease.

USA Today should have learned a lesson from the debacle the New York Times just went through after publishing the irresponsible, error-ridden opinion piece by Tom Cotton.

I think it's a disgrace that USA Today published this, and they can't distance themselves from what they've done or pretend it serves any kind of public service.

The Peter Navarro op-ed didn’t go through normal White House clearance processes and is the opinion of Peter alone. @realDonaldTrump values the expertise of the medical professionals advising his Administration.

So says the WH Dir of Strategic Communications

It's even more horrifying to think he actually believes it.
