Sessions was Trump’s first major endorsement; Sessions gave up his senate seat for a spot in Trump’s administration; Sessions proclaimed his unwavering support for Trump as Trump was bending him over for years. That culminated in Sessions’ staggering defeat today.

Look how many Trump administration officials have come into his crosshairs. The lesson here for Republican pols is to never, ever go out on a limb for Trump.
