Tuberville is going to be another Tea Party fool, basically wasting everyone's time a la Mike Lee and Tom Cotton.

Does Doug Jones have any shot at retaining this seat?

The biggest reason he won in 2017 was because there was no Republican at the top of the ticket to draw in voters who didn’t like Roy Moore. With Trump leading the ticket, there will be a lot of voters that didn’t vote in 2017 that will go to the polls and hit straight Republican.

Nope, he doesn't have a chance in that state. We got that seat because the alternative was a total nut job who liked little girls. This will be totally different.

He went to Texas Tech then later Cincinnati and screwed up those programs. While at those two schools he was running a crooked investment scam that almost landed in him in federal prison. His business partner is serving 10 years.

is because the Republicans ran that loathsome piece of shit Roy Moore. Lots of Republican voters stayed home, rather than vote for that disgusting creature. That's not likely to happen this time around.

I heard turnout was low, but can't be that low!!!
But, anything to push Sessions into obscurity is fine by me.

If Trump has repudiated Sessions, doesn't that mean voters prefer the Trump-endorsed candidate because they still love Trump?

Of course, it's Alabama...

does he have to help pull out of a pandemic? What experience does he have to help pull us out of this economic quagmire?

This is a time when experience does matter and I would pound on that until November.

Those in college should start taking public policy/public affairs classes. Yeah, you gotta learn about sewer systems, etc., but that's the name of the game.

Clinton Library has a Masters Program in public affairs. Supposed to be great.

The petty vindictive asshole in me takes great schadenfreude-alicious glee whenever a former republican congress critter tries to come back and fails. So Alabama has been quite generous in that regards the last few years.

Failed to satisfy and was discarded. Here's a lesson for the rest of the Republicans out there:

Double down and go down with the (low-polling) ship or.......

jump ship and take your chances.

Maybe live to see another day? 2020 might not be your year. Cut your losses and hope for the future.
