I know someone who works overnight stocking groceries in a small regional chain. When the pandemic started the locals were pretty good about staying home or masking up when going out. After the area opened up again (very traveled touristy area) people stopped wearing masks very much at all.
When the new totals started coming out about numbers skyrocketing, tourists have stopped coming again, and my friend is seeing pretty much everyone wearing masks when they go out now. It isn't mandated here at all, but people are gong against Trump's insanity, and taking precautions again.
I thought it was a very good sign.

(22,166 posts)donald rump is an idiot (or worse)...a total turnaround of sentiment in MO and probably a lot of the Country. My sister who lives in SW MO and her husband think that the idiot POS in the WH can't even tie his f**king shoes without pooping a mess during the process.

(11,949 posts)The % of people using masks at my Publix is higher than it has ever been. Probably over 90%.
The few who dont wear the are normally angry looking white men.
But travel 40 miles west of here and I doubt that is the case.
