Anonymous White House Officials Leak Meadows' Scheme To Catch Leakers

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, like his predecessors, is attempting to plug the numerous leaks to the media coming from anonymous White House aides and Trump administration officials, but his efforts seem to be taking an ironic turn.

According to Axios, Meadows has been going around telling several fellow White House aides about how he’s trying to trace the perpetrators by feeding certain staffers information that might later end up in the news.

“Multiple officials” told Axios that the chief of staff has been “unusually vocal about his tactics,” in Axios’ words.

“Meadows told me he was doing that,” a former White House staffer told the news outlet. “I don’t know if it ever worked.”

popped into my mind as soon as I read your post. Leaks are hard to fix.

There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza,
There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, a hole.
So fix it dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
So fix it dear Henry, dear Henry, fix it.

Is one of the few vibrant memories I have of my Dad. We lost him to cancer when he was 42 and I was 7.
I immediately heard his voice singing that little ditty.
Ironically, my Dad couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket, but your post gave me a genuine, warm smile.

Thank-you.
A great moment among all the anxieties.

there would be nothing to leak. And yes, the irony of the headline is sweet enough to put in your morning coffee.

I got something to tell you, but whatever you do, DO NOT tell the news media this giant scoop, ok?

Flush some disinformation down the pipe and see where it comes out. That would be a great plan. I saw it in a movie. It just didn't work out so well in the end.

Yeah, I'd say the White House has a problem--but it's had this problem since January 2017. And thank god for that.

The fact that they're so obsessed is a clue that the leaked information is accurate. And wouldn't it be shocking (not shocking) if one of the most prolific leakers turned out to be Mark Meadows?
